A busy couple of days

On Sunday mummy and daddy took me out for the day to the Berwick and Gembrook markets for a walk because it was such a nice day. I got a bit grizzly at the Gembrook market and mummy had to carry me at the end, but it was worth going because I got to see Puffing Billy come into the station. I had a wonderful time smiling at it, I can't wait to go on it and hang my legs out the window when I'm old enough!

Yesterday while daddy was at work mummy and I went with Nanna and Grandad Rastall to visit their very dear friend Peg. She made some lovely scones that they all had them with jam and cream. Mummy felt very spoiled. I didn't behave myself at all, I cried so much. Mummy's tummy isn't feeling so good and thinks that maybe I am feeling the same as I've been really unhappy for the last few days. While we were at Peg's house, some other friends, Sue and Peter came over and I got to have big cuddles with Sue. Mummy thinks that Sue should come and stay at our house since as soon as she held me I stopped crying. They gave me a really cute pair of sheepskin booties that I am looking forward to wearing when I get a bit better - thank you Sue and Peter!

I love my new friend Peg - mummy and I read the 'Winnie The Pooh' books that she gave me every afternoon after my sleep
Me looking like I have for the past few days with my new friends Peter and Sue - note the nice wet patch I've left on Sue's arm!

After we left Peg's house we dropped mummy off at home and I spent the afternoon with Nanna and Grandad so mummy could have some time to study. Nanna told mummy that I mostly behaved myself, but looking at the photos it looks like maybe grandad might have spent a bit of time trying to get me to calm down and sleep. I enjoyed my afternoon with them and I look forward to the day when I am allowed to sleep over for a full night - Nanna says I can when I'm old enough, but I don't know when that is.

Watching Top Gear with GrandadGrandad's proud that he can get me to sleep

Today mummy and I have not been feeling the best again. Nanna Rastall came over this morning to play and I gave her big smiles until I had enough of playing and she gave me my bottle. She comes to visit every time she comes down to Pakenham so I get to see her most days - I really do look forward to seeing her, I love spending time with her. Today I have spent most of my awake time crying other than when Nanna was here and I haven't been happy at all. Mummy's still trying to study and though today I will have slept for 17.5hrs, most of that during the day has been in mummy's arms because I've been so unsettled so she can't do anything. I'm still sleeping through the nights for at least 12hrs, so mummy can cope with me during the day, she just wants me to be a bit happier.

Here's a picture of me before I went to Ryan's 3rd birthday party on Saturday with Grandad - he was in charge of calming me down again. Do you like me 'Miami Vice' style party outfit? My pants match daddy's and I feel like a mini-me!

I was shattered before I even got the the party

Olympics 2024 here I come!

Today I went for my first swim! Daddy turned the spa on especially for me and put it at a really nice temperature so I didn't get cold. The water was so lovely and I had so much fun kicking and splashing. I didn't even mind when I got a face full of water, I just wanted more! I'm such a lucky boy to have my own little swimming pool in my backyard so I can swim whenever I want. It feels like an olympic size pool to me! When I was just born the Olympics were on and I watched the swimming - maybe if I work really hard I could be in the 2024 Olympics....

Don't you love my little speedos? Thanks Aunty Kerry! I've even got my very own beach towel!

This is how I do my 'Thriller' dance

Whenever I'm in the water I poke my tongue out

I also went to my first birthday party today with daddy (mummy had to study so she stayed at home). It was for my friend Ryan who turned 3 years old. I was a little bit too small to play with the big kids, but I still enjoyed myself. I got to watch the AFL Grand Final with the big boys too - my friend Macy's team Hawthorn won, maybe Collingwood will win next year. Daddy was in charge of taking pictures today but he forgot so I can't show you what a nice time I had, but trust me, it was really good fun! I also got to see Great-Nanna Bush, cousin Liam and Nanna and Grandad Jensen today too, but I have to say sorry to them for being so grumpy. I really do love seeing them, but I had a big day and was tired. I promise I'll be nicer next time.

Such a clever boy

Today mummy took some photos of me during my playtime to show you all. I now love to put things in my mouth when they come my way - I'm not grabbing things and shoving them in just yet and if I do it's usually by accident. I am so good on my tummy now - see how high I can lift my head. I'll be 12 weeks old on Saturday. I'm still sleeping through the night too!

Mmmmm, this is better than milk!

I'm a growing boy!

I know, I know, it's been ages since we have done a posting. Mummy is busy studying hard which is why it's been so long since the last post as any spare time that she has without me needing her is spent on her assignments. So we apologise to all you caring people who diligently keep checking the blog, we'll do our best to update it more regularly. Now down to the interesting stuff....
I am now 11 and a half weeks old. I had my appointment with Trina the Healthcare nurse today; I am now 6.39kgs, 60.9cms long and my head is absolutely massive (just like daddy's) at 42.5cms circumference. My head is bigger than most of the other babies in our Mum's group even though they are at least 5 weeks older than me, but that's ok, daddy says that it is to fit my big brain in. My friend Ben also has a big head so we are going to start the BBHB gang (Big Boof Head Boys gang) - don't worry Jedd you can have an honorary membership.
My friends from our Mum's Group
Me (with mummy), Flynn (with Danielle), Zahra (with Bec), Lachlan (with Jo), my BBHB friend Ben (with Sarah) and Jedd (with Tracey)
BIG NEWS!!! For the last 7 nights straight I have slept for at least 12hrs (6.30pm - 6.30am, this morning I went through to 7.30am)! Mummy and daddy are so proud of me. I've also found my hands and think it's great fun to sit and stare at my hands in front of my face which makes mummy laugh because I go cross-eyed. I'm smiling all the time now and I think it's such a good game to get everyone excited by giving them smiles, they pull such funny faces. Yesterday was the first day that I reached for something and today there has been no stopping me. I really like to reach out and touch daddy's face when he's cuddling me which has been a lot since he has had the last week off work to play with me. I was a big boy yesterday and helped daddy cook dinner for mummy, though I'm too little to use a knife so I just kicked back in my highchair and supervised.

I make people pull funny faces

I love making people smile!

Keeping daddy entertained is hard work!

This is what all the fuss is about

Connor Ramsey - 'Come on daddy, lift you f*#!ing game...'

My first football season has nearly finished. Collingwood didn't do very well, even though daddy and I watched the games together and I supported them as much as a little Baby Magpie could. Maybe they might have better luck next year.

Thank you Justin and Sharon for my socks!

I love my 'boy time' with daddy watching the game

Father's Day was a few weeks ago and mummy and I made daddy a few presents - a coffee cup with my picture on it and two picture frames with some cute photos of me. I made daddy breakfast in bed (a banana) and a coffee in his new cup (mummy made it because I'm not allowed to use the hot water yet). I also made daddy a special present....

He really is my hero

I baked him a special present

Here are some random pictures from the last few weeks. I hope you like them!

Cuddles with my girlfriend, Indiana

I love my swing that mummy bought so she could have some study time - I have to be moving all the time!

I love my Great-Nanna Bush so much, it was lovely seeing her and Nanna Jensen on Sunday when they came over for a BBQ

Helloooo ladies....
