An apple a day doesn't keep the doctor away...

What have I learned this last couple of weeks? That having a quarter of an apple mixed in with my Weetbix for breakfast doesn't keep the doctor away.

A few weeks back I got croup (luckily it was only 1 night and I went straight back to sleep after barking like a dog!). And now mummy tells me that I have the measles!

I don't like it very much, I don't feel like eating anything, I'm really tired and cranky and I have this yucky rash all over my head, face, tummy, back and legs. The only good part is that I am getting loads of cuddles and kisses and I get to have lots of yoghurt which I love. Mummy has even been letting me go to sleep in her arms during the day which I love. Mummy was wondering why I was so grumpy and tired all week and said that it wasn't like me at all to be off my food. Then sure enough a nice little rash started to appear on Friday night. Mummy took me to the doctor when she had to wake me at 11.30am yesterday morning and he confirmed that I have the measles.

Mummy said I have great timing because she went back to work on Friday morning! She is only going back part time and will eventually be based at home (only having to go in one half day a week). She is going to let me go and play with some other kiddies at a day care centre one day a week too which I'm really looking forward too as the people there are really nice and they have some really cool toys - I will start going when Mummy knows what day she will be going into work. In the mean time when she has to go in I will either be with Daddy if he is home (since he's started working shift work now) or with Nanna and Grandad Rastall. Either way, I'm happy because it means getting loves and cuddles!

I have posted some photos below of Mothers Day too. We had a lovely day. I surprised Mummy with a beautiful card and a big blanket that she can zip up into a cross between a sleeping bag and a dressing gown. I think she likes it - she's been using it every day and even asked Daddy if it would be socially acceptable to wear it out in public. We spent the morning at Nanna Jensen's house and the evening at Nanna Rastall's house where we had dinner. We had a 'gourmet' which is a little BBQ that sits in the middle of the table and you each cook your own food. Everything is chopped up really little, so needless to say I got to try just about everything on the table. I think Mummy had a lovely day, which she deserves to since she's my mum and I love her loads.

I have also put some random pictures of me just doing stuff. I hope you like them and I'll post some more when I do something (though I'm not sure when that will be since I have been told by the doctor that I have to stay at home for 10 days!
