I thought I'd give you a quick update on me, the Measle Man. All of my spots have gone now and apart from still sleeping a lot and being a bit grumpy, I am pretty much back to normal. I seem to have got better really quickly and Mummy wonders if it really was the measles - maybe it was just a mild case. I don't really care, just so long as I feel better and as you can see from the below pictures, I'm back to getting into everything.
Mummy took yesterday off work and took me to the doctor's to get a blood test to confirm my measles. My arm was so little that they couldn't take blood from either of my arms or hands, so they had to prick my heel and squeeze the blood from there. It took a long time, I was in there for about 40 minutes all up and I screamed a lot because it hurt. It was a good job Grandad came with Mummy and I because he was really good at distracting me and before I knew it, they had finished so I could get back to my normal cheeky self. Hopefully they confirm that it is the measles so I don't have to go through that again.
I've had so much fun this morning. Mummy went to work and when I woke up today Nanna and Grandad were here! Mummy and Daddy are very thankful that Nanna and Grandad are so helpful because it means I get to stay in my bed rather than go to daycare - though once Mummy settles in and knows when she has to go to work long term the I will go to daycare.
I hear that Mummy left around 7.30am when Grandad got here and Nanna came down around 8.45am just as I woke up. I think Grandad didn't realise that we have our own food here, because he brought his own egg and 2 slices of bread so he could have his breakfast while I slept! I got up and had breakfast with them both, played lots and had cuddles and stories before I got tired again and went back to bed around 11am. My bed must be a magical place, because when I woke up around 12.45pm, Mummy was home again! I just have to go to sleep and people appear! Nanna said Grandad went home around 10am and said I was so boring because all I do is sleep so she ended up doing weeding in the garden (which Mummy is very grateful for but told her she doesn't have to do Daddy's chores for him!). I hear that the same thing will happen tomorrow and Thursday too which I am really looking forward to.
Mummy can't go to work on Friday because she has to take Grandad and Aunty Karen to the airport because they are going on an aeroplane - I hope I get to go on one of those one day, it sounds like fun. I'll miss them loads, especially Grandad since he won't be back until after my birthday! I'll really have to keep my blog updated then so they don't miss out on anything!
