Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Well, I can't believe it - I am one year old today! My day started with a call from my Grandad Rastall who is in England. He sang happy birthday to me and I smiled loads and bounced up and down in my bed for him. Mummy is quickly trying to get some photos on here for him so he doesn't feel like he's missed out, so she's going to make a quick post - loads of photos but no comments today otherwise she'll be here forever!

We had morning tea at our house with Nanna Rastall, Nanna and Grandad Jensen, Granny (formally known as Great-Nanna Bush), Aunty Karen and Uncle Eric, Aunty Michelle and Uncle Michael, Liam, Kara, Indi and Raith. Nanna Rastall was very sick with a cold and she shouldn't have come today so she could get better, but I really appreciate that she made the effort to come when she was so sick. We had a cake that Mummy made (bright blue choc-ripple cake, yum yum!!!) and other bits and pieces that Daddy helped with (they make a really good team), and the lounge was decorated up with streamers, balloons and banners. Everyone wore party hats and we even had those party blowers that make loads of noise. It was only a quick little get together because Mummy and Daddy said they were taking me out in the afternoon. I got LOADS of presents and was very spoiled, thank you so much to everyone who sent cards, emails, texts and gave presents, I am such a lucky boy to have so many people love me so much! I have put a few pictures of me opening presents, but this is only a few of many (much like the rest of my day, but I can't post them all!). I had to be woken up this morning when everyone got here, so I was a little grumpy to start with, but I perked up after a while - and after all the sugar in the bright blue birthday cake!

In the afternoon we went to the Melbourne Aquarium. It was so much fun!!! My favourite were the penguins, I spent ages playing with them through the window and I just wish I could have got in there with them to play! I got a little over-awed when we went in the part where you walk through the massive tank, staring at everything and trying to reach the fishies. I wasn't sure what to do, so I did what I do best - I danced and waved at the fishies. They just kept swimming past me, but I just kept on waving and dancing. On the way back to the car we went by the Casino Atrium and watched the light and sound show, you can see by the photos that I was extremely tired. I didn't sleep on the way home though, I was busy playing with my penguin teddy that Mummy and Daddy got for me to remind me of my day.

We had a lovely time when we got home just playing about and watching the movie that Daddy made for me of my photos and videos of me when I was only 1 week old - it was lovely to see Mummy and Daddy remember what I was like when I was a little boy....

I've had an awesome birthday today and I can't wait to have my big party on the 18th of this month. Here's some pictures of my great day (the first picture is last night so you can see what I looked like when I was a little baby compared to today when I am a big boy, I had a haircut yesterday morning so I look more like a big boy now):

What a lovely day you had for your birthday, Connor, and so many lovely toys. Good to see that your bike seat actually got fitted to your new bike, not just your bum! The penguins looked like they were wishing you happy birthday too! Lovely photos. xxx

What a cool site you have Connor! I see you are already a big boy! Another year and you are bigger then me! Hope your mum and dad are doing well and in a while you have a little friend to play with, because your aunty Karen and uncle Eric are having a baby!
A big kiss for you and the family!
